Part 4

This part revisits the men who encountered the risen Jesus on the road to Emmaus, but did not recognize Him until He broke bread with them. It reminds people that breaking bread is not just about the holy meal, but the communion of souls and people.

Part 3

This part discusses Psalm 137, which is about the Jewish people yearning for home during their Babylonian exile. Their captors want them to sing, but they wonder how they can do so in a strange land. Their prayers to go home were answered, but not in the form they would have imagined.

Part 2

Part two is about the Israelites fleeing Egypt and Moses parting the Red Sea so they could distance themselves from the pharaoh’s army, chariots and horsemen. The trek seemed wonderful at first, but then the Israelites realized, “This was not just a weekend camping trip,” but rather an extended journey of discovery that was challenging at times.

Part 1

Part one is about Mary Magdalene’s distress at finding the empty tomb. We may also be feeling distressed, unsettled, anxious and overwhelmed. How does God answer us in this stressful time?
